Bigayan Spring 2006

Bigayan Summer 2006

Household workers are outraged by the Governor's decision to veto AB2536, but they are undeterred in their struggle to win dignity and respect for domestic workers. Friday, October 6, MUA and the Women’s Collective of La Raza Centro Legal published “Rights Begin at Home: Defending Domestic Workers’ Rights in California.” With this online advocates guide MUA and the Women’s Collective of La Raza Centro Legal will ensure that more advocates and domestic workers around the state know and defend their rights. The guide is a collaboration with the National Employment Law Project and features data collected through a participatory research project about the domestic work industry in the Bay Area with the help of the Data Center. The guide can be viewed and downloaded here.
